Never Underestimate The Power Of Your Influence
The Power Of A Sunday School Teacher’s Influence
It was 1972, and I was sitting in a Sunday school classroom listening to Mrs. Dawson, the teacher.
One of the things I remember about this time is how I felt that I had a voice. Mrs. Dawson taught differently than all the other teachers.
She would ask me, “Ann, What do you think?”
In fact, it was the first time that I felt someone truly wanted me to think outside of my family. I felt like Mrs. Dawson gave me permission to think for myself.
Strong Leaders Make A Difference For Their People
Jim Rohn says, “Never mistake the power of influence.”
This teacher had tremendous power over her students. And the influence that she chose to have was to encourage us to think for ourselves.

Strong leaders make a difference for their people because of the influence they have. They have a great capacity to change things.
Leadership is the single biggest factor in achieving great results.
Nothing can replace the leader or the influence that a leader has. The same is true for you — the way you lead determines the outcome for your family, team or company.
Leading With Your Head And Your Heart
It’s important to remember that good leaders lead with both their head and their heart.
George Elliot said, “Blessed is the influence of one true, loving human soul on another.”
For good leaders, it’s not just about rules and regulations or even about great results. For them, it’s also about caring for their people — their greatest treasure.
Your influence matters because you have a great capacity to change people, to change results, to change hearts, to change minds or to change situations.
Never underestimate the power of the influence you have on other people.
